Through taking a giant leap of faith, we embraced our calling into real estate and discovered a new way to leave a positive impact on those around us. Thanks to our clients, we have built more than a business – we have built a legacy.
I glanced across the crowded park at Kayleigh and waved. It hit me both how far we had come in such a short time and how much farther we planned to go. From not knowing anyone here in Orange County a few years earlier to hosting this movie night in the park for nearly 700 people, we embraced our new home and community.Kayleigh and I moved here, got married, had our son Theo, bought our first home, and I began my career all within one year of graduating college. Building a new life together was a struggle at first, and part of that was due to my career.
I became a CPA soon after college graduation. Though I enjoyed the challenge of my work as an analytically-minded person, for me it was not conducive to having a family. I regularly worked 70-hour weeks, and the entire work atmosphere was designed to spend my life climbing the corporate ladder one rung at a time.
While debating what to do next, I ventured into real estate. I quickly learned all I could about the industry, and I became a full-time real estate agent within a matter of months. It took a lot of prayers to get there, but with Kayleigh’s vote of confidence and support, I went for it. We felt that God had spoken His plan for me, and we continued to do our best to take the next right step.
Since that first year of transition, Kayleigh and I had another child, our daughter, Emma. Real estate has given us the ability to have some control over our schedule, allowing us to home school for many years! We have had the opportunity to go on many adventures and our family strives for a life of influence. One of the most powerful ways that we’ve served together as a family has been opening our home to provide respite care (temporary placement) for children through Olive Crest.
Since 2015, our home has been a safe place for kids to land during tough times for over three dozen children. We have had children live with us for a weekend and as long as several months, though they remain a part of our lives long after they leave. Kayleigh and I are relationship-driven and do the best we can to live lives according to who we are called to be. At Pepperdine (where we met on a mission trip), the saying goes: “Freely you received, freely give.”
Through all the ups and downs, God has always provided for us. Over the years, we have learned not to sweat the small stuff and instead focus on living intentionally.
There are two ways to go through life – you can let life happen to you or you can determine the impact you want to have. We try not to let things just happen and instead lead lives creating the maximum positive impact possible.
We have built our business and life upon God’s grace and are thankful to have found success early in life by following His plan and remaining persistent. Even on the most awful days, we refused to give up.
Once we discovered our why (positively impacting others), our lives expanded exponentially through all the people we have come in contact with. We mean it literally when we welcome others with open arms. Through our regular client appreciation events and even personal family holidays, we have brought people who started out as clients into our home as family and friends. No matter what, we want to provide the most value to our clients’ lives, as both their real estate agents and friends.
Whenever we are not working, we enjoy playing volleyball and tennis, surfing, hiking, and traveling. Our favorite part of being your local real estate advocate is educating our clients about the real estate process and how they can achieve their dreams as well as building generational wealth using real estate as a tool.
I am a maximizer, wanting to provide the maximum value to my clients whether they are buying or selling. From the start, I’ll listen and get to know your lifestyle so I can find the solutions that will benefit you the most. I take my clients’ satisfaction personally. We take a holistic approach to real estate, considering lifestyle and long-term financial impact. Throughout my career, I have flipped over 40 houses, created an Airbnb portfolio and property management arm to our business, and become a lender in addition to an agent. I am constantly learning everything I can to provide the best service possible to my clients, enabling them to build a real legacy for their children.
With my unique background in accounting, I will create a tailored approach to uncover the best solutions to help you reach your goals. Our team is family-oriented, and we show it through our constant client care with annual appreciation events and market impact reports. As your needs change over the years, we will continue to grow alongside you, serving your every need, whether housing, short term rental, investment, or property management as your lifelong REALTOR® team.
Sincerely,
Jordan and Kayleigh Bennett
